McDonalds Nutrition Facts and Healthy Menu Options

The words "fast food" are synonymous with McDonalds. They're the largest fast food restaurant in the world, serving over 47 million customers every single day. McDonalds has been known over the years for their calorie-filled Big Macs, greasy French fries, and supersized sodas.

However, they've taken some steps in recent years to add more healthy food options to their menu after feeling pressure from industry groups and healthcare advocates.

For example, in September, 2011, McDonalds reduced the French fry portions in their Happy Meals by more than half and added apples to every Happy Meal. And, you'll find healthy sides like apples, yogurt, fruits, and nuts on the menu, so there's really no excuse not to make healthier food decisions at McDonalds anymore.
