I’ll give it to you straight, because that’s my style: anyone can lose weight. But the vast majority of you fail to lose weight and keep it off. A big reason for that is most of you rely on diets. And most diets, unfortunately, set you up to fail.

Think about a time when you lost weight and how good it made you feel. Then think about how crappy you felt to look at the scale 6 months later and realize you were back to where you started.

Why does this happen?

Because you’re going about it all wrong. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you need to think and do things differently than the masses. Permanent weight loss requires a different mindset … a different approach than most of you are used to.

In its simplest form, losing weight and keeping it off is a two-step process:

Step 1: You learn about the important aspects of healthy eating.

Step 2: You apply those principles toward your own personal goals.

If it were only that easy though, right? Listen, I’ll be the first to admit that along your weight loss journey, you’ll do great at some things and stumble with others. There will be setbacks, frustrations, and periods of self-doubt. But for long-term weight loss, you need to arm yourself with the knowledge to make better decisions about your health. The bottom line is, most folks ignore this step … and it’s a huge mistake.

So take the road less traveled. Be better. Be different.

10. Though shall believe in thyself wholeheartedly by staying on the path to permanent weight loss.
