Healthy Diets - Which One Do I Choose?

Atkins Diet Zone Diet South Beach Diet Sonoma Diet

The FTC has stated that over 95% of the estimated 50 million Americans who go on a new weight-loss diet each year end up gaining back all or MORE of the weight they lost.

In this section, we will review several of the most popular diets out there and tell you exactly why most of them DON’T work if your goal is a long-term healthy lifestyle. As mentioned before, this site (as well as many top health and nutrition experts) doesn’t recommend diets because they’re temporary but we do recommend a “healthy diet plan” in which you make healthy eating combined with exercise a permanent solution that’s part of your every day life.

The main problem with diets is they are a short-term solution to something that needs to be addressed in the long-term (healthy eating). Going on a diet and losing 10 pounds may be a nice short term solution but it doesn't address the core problem for most people, which is changing your lifestyle and becoming healthier. Changing your bad eating habits and making a lifestyle change may add 10 years to your life and allow you to drop some serious pounds.

There are a few healthy diets out there, so I encourage you to take bits and pieces of each one and incorporate them into a permanent healthy eating plan that works best for you. Let’s explore some of these popular diets in more detail:
