Healthy Chocolate Milk RecipeThis probably isn’t breaking news to you, but the problem with most chocolate milk is it’s high in sugar, calories, and processed ingredients. But I happen to love chocolate milk. And that’s why I created this healthy chocolate milk recipe.

This one was pretty easy too. I used some reduced fat organic milk (you can use skim to reduce the calories even more … I prefer a little more creaminess). The key to this healthy chocolate milk though is getting some good raw cocoa powder. I prefer Navitas Naturals. Toss in some Truvia (a plant-based sugar substitute) and that’s all you need.

You can spruce it up with cinnamon, nutmeg, peanut butter, or coffee but it’s pretty darn good as-is.

And best of all, the final damage is only 130 calories and 3 grams of fat. Compare that to 200-300 calories, over 30 grams of sugar, and 5 grams of saturated fat for the average glass of chocolate milk! And this recipe even has some healthy fiber due to the better-for-you real cocoa powder.

Ingredients: Healthy Chocolate Milk Recipe

  • 2 cups 1% organic milk
  • 2.5 T raw organic cocoa powder (like Navitas Naturals)
  • 1 T Truvia



Combine milk, cocoa powder, and Truvia in a blender. Blend on high setting for 20-30 seconds. For a thicker consistency, add a bit of ice. For more sweetness, add a bit more Truvia. For a richer cocoa flavor, add a bit more cocoa powder.
